I would just go through the checklist -

Have the files been moved to the appropriate spots on both the ST and QP servers?
Did you make the appropriate changes to the qpconfig.xml file (adding the sametime section with LDAP="Yes", etc.)?
Did you put the ST fully-qualified host name in the ST Chat and Meeting Server fields in QP administration?
After all that, did you then stop and restart HTTP on the QP server so it would pick up the changes to qpconfig.xml?
